Hanna is the perfect compliment to any outfit. I love her with a collared shirt or jean jacket, but she’ll go with everything. She is made of unique tagua tubes and acai berries. Each tube is expertly carved from a tagua nut. Our necklace macrame slide cord closure means it goes on with ease, and you can adjust it longer or shorter to fit all sizes of women and various necklines.

Tagua is a nut from a palm tree, found only in South America. Most is found in Ecuador, in my Manabi region along the coast. It is commonly called vegetable ivory. It is so close in makeup and appearance, it is difficult to distinguish from animal ivory. Gathering the fallen tagua, has many benefits economically and naturally sustains the rainforest. It causes no harm, unlike the cruel world of sourcing animal ivory. Our beads are the nut of açaí  berries, commonly referred to and sold as tagua. Like tagua, açaí is a nut from a palm tree, found in South America’s equatorial rainforests.
