Our HAIL MARY rosary is crafted from natural tagua in pretty colors. Each bead is artisan handmade from the tagua nut from the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador. A larger, round tagua bead serves as a central component of the rosary, leading to the tagua cross. Our rosary blends natural materials with a joyful color palette, making it a unique and meaningful accessory for prayer or meditation. This rosary is a celebration of tradition and sustainable craftsmanship.

Tagua is a nut from a palm tree, found only in South America. Most is found in Ecuador, in my Manabi region along the coast. It is commonly called vegetable ivory. It is so close in makeup and appearance, it is difficult to distinguish from animal ivory. Gathering the fallen tagua, has many benefits economically and naturally sustains the rainforest. It causes no harm, unlike the cruel world of sourcing animal ivory. Our beads are the nut of açaí  berries, commonly referred to and sold as tagua. Like tagua, açaí is a nut from a palm tree, found in South America’s equatorial rainforests.

Each is unique and will vary slightly from photos. Tagua has natural shapes and sizes.
