She is very special because her full collar of beads are carved tagua nut, as opposed to acai nut most commonly found in beaded pieces. She features our favorite thin tagua circle charm. Please note ivory tagua sometimes has some very light yellow present, as is slightly noticeable in ivory color Tachi necklace.

Tagua is a nut from a palm tree, found only in South America. Most is found in Ecuador, in my Manabi region along the coast. It is commonly called vegetable ivory. It is so close in makeup and appearance, it is difficult to distinguish from animal ivory.

Each is unique and will vary slightly from photos. Tagua has natural shapes and sizes.
